1839 Tithe Map      Lot…. Edith Green
1841 Census            Edith Green, son Samuel & his wife, Rebecca (farmer) live in the High street
1849                          Albert Benjafield born at Gommershay Farm.  Father, Eli Benjafield and grandfather, John Benjafield,                                          farmed there since the 1830’s.   
1851 Census           Farmer, Samuel Green, living with mother Edith in High Street wife Rebecca occupier of 60 acres of land                                      employing 2 men
1861 Census          Samuel Green widower living Gold Street with Mother Edith farmer of 105 acres employing 3 men
1871 Census          Widower Samuel Green aged 42 Farmer of 176 acres employing 4 men & 2 boys.  Sons, Robert, Herbert,                                         Walter, Nathaniel.  Brother Robert, is a farmer living in Gold Street
1871 Census          Albert Benjafield farming at Crib House with sister, Mary, and brother, Allan.
1877                        Albert & Lydia (nee Lippiatt) marry
1881 Census          Albert Benjafield  farmer of 200acres
1882                        Swine Fever   Pigs bought at Sturminster market a month previously
1888                        Twins, a boy and a girl.
1880’s & 90’s          Bibbern Farm the venue for tea and games for Sunday school treats/outings
1891                        Ethel dies aged 14.
1918 Sale               Lot 30 bought by A Benjafield for £8,800
1925                        Henstridge estate agent, Allan Benjafield, brother of Albert, declared bankrupt, blaming his losses in                                             cattle dealing due to market closures because of the foot & mouth disease
1926                        Albert Benjafield retires from farming
1927                        Hardwick Hartley & Sons listed in Kelly’s Directory
1930                        Albert Benjafield dies, aged 82, at his home in High Street. His brother, Allan, had died only a couple of                                         months earlier.  The funeral service takes place at the Wesleyan Methodist Church, a cause and building                                    the Benjafield family were very much supportive…..  Tenant of the Stalbridge Estate for “half a century”
1931- 35                 Hartley Hardwick (1870-1951) -Kelly’s Directory
1939 Register       Reginald George & Phyllis Loder Phyllis At Ryalls Farm, Bishop Down in 1919.
1946                        Albert Howard Benjafield (son of Albert) dies at his home in Church Hill.
